We have all been looking forward to the newest Disney ship to hit the water and set sail!
Especially those already booked on the ship’s very first sailing, but unfortunately we will all have to wait a little bit longer. Disney Has just announced that they will be delaying the ship’s first departure.

Covid and Sailing have been a rollercoaster from the start, this is just another setback amongst a sea of them!
I am going on a Disney Cruise next week and I can’t wait, I just hope my sailing and future sailings, in general, are able to continue!
We can only hope!
Disney Just Announced Disney Wish Delayed Until Mid-July 2022
Disney has just announced that they will be delaying the Inaugural sailing until Mid-July 2022.
There has yet to be an exact date released.
Here is the latest statement from Disney.

You may be asking yourself, what now?
You should be on the lookout for ‘Sea Mail’, Disney’s emails regarding Disney Cruise Line News to Booked Guests.

Your Options If You Were Booked
Guests who were booked on the original maiden voyage will be automatically shifted to a new sail date of July 14 at a 50 percent discount.
If you are unable to move to the new sail date, you will have the option of either a 50 percent discount on a future cruise departing by December 31, 2023, with any originally paid funds converted to a Future Cruise Credit, or a full refund.
What if You We’re Booked On Other Disney Wish Sail Dates
Guests who were originally booked on the other affected sailings will have the option of either a 50 percent discount on a future cruise departing by December 31, 2023, with any originally paid funds converted to a Future Cruise Credit, or a full refund.
When Can You Book A Disney Wish Sailing
They have temporarily paused the sale of all Disney Wish sailings while they process these changes.
As a result, all affected sailings will no longer be visible online or in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
On February 8, 2022, Disney Wish sales resumed and new sailings may be booked online.
In the coming days, more information will be released as well as the process to book a new voyage and how the 50 percent discount and Future Cruise Credit will be redeemed.
The Disney Cruise Line contact center will also be available to assist in booking new Disney Wish sailings beginning February 8.
During this pause, unaffected Disney Wish itineraries will also not be viewable online.
Should you request a full refund instead of the future cruise discount offer, you may submit a request to cancel on behalf of your entire travel party.
Please note that by requesting a full refund, you will not be eligible for the future cruise discount offer.
If you have any members of your traveling party who wish to use the future cruise discount offer, please call the contact center to process a partial refund after February 8.
While the adjusted timeline is disappointing for all of us, at least Disney’s dedication to creating all-new enchantment aboard the Disney Wish hasn’t changed it will be amazing when we all finally get to board it!
This new ship will be a celebration of Disney’s rich legacy of storytelling, bringing to life the fantastical worlds and beloved characters at the heart of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars adventures like never before.
I have never been more optimistic about the future and cannot wait to be welcomed onboard!
Getting to spend time with my family as well as other families I meet aboard the beautiful Disney Wish is what I look forward to most!
